How to Style a Mini Dress

Yes, we all love mini skirts and short dresses; however, they're not always appropriate and you may want style it up a bit to either make it more casual or a little more chic and sexy. For my take, I paired my ultra short dress with some thigh-high laser-cut boots, a long sleeveless jacket, and a multi-buckled belt to add a different feel to this simple piece.

Dress: Shop CB Luxe | Belt: Catherine Malandrino | Boots: Overdressed | Jacket: Zara | Bag: Victoria's Secret | Shades: Vintage Thrift | Earrings: Rachel Mulherin

This suede dress is from a small boutique, Shop CB Luxe. I've become a fan of simplified pieces and mix&matching them with other solid tones and even bold prints. However, for this look, I kept everything solid. This gorgeous belt is by Catherine Malandrino -- I used this to add texture and detail to my look.

This particular mini dress has shorter sides than the front and back, and being that my shape is more curvy, my clothes tend to "ride up" every now and again. So to be on the safe side, I layered my mini with a long sleeveless jacket by Zara. It not only keeps my legs from being over-exposed, but it also adds a hint of a stylish appeal.

A pop of color never hurt nobody! I rocked these pink-stoned earrings by Rachel Mulherin to show off my personality.

These bad boys are surprisingly more comfortable than they look. My simple dress and jacket mixed with these super fly laser-cut boots accentuates my legs and actually gives the appeal of being longer. These are ultra sexy since they still show skin throughout the entire boot. The back is also open to reveal the thighs.
