My cover story for Black Men Magazine. This is by far one of my favorite shoots because it portrays my mixture of descents perfectly.

I am particularly proud of my heritage. I grew up amongst different cultures and races, so I simply see people as people. While I still respect and love each culture individually, what remains is my love for all walks of life -- no matter the skintone. My mother is primarily African American with traces of Great Britain in her ancestry. Her African DNA consists of Nigerian, Senagalese, and a few more with smaller percentages.

On the other end of the spectrum is my multi-cultural father. He is Italian, Lebanese, and German. But according to Ancestry DNA tests my family has been doing, it digs deeper to past ancestors in Scandinavia, Syria and Lebanon, and even a tiny bit of Irish.

Overall, what was most important to me was me captured properly. I find a lot of times makeup artists tend to make me look like races that I'm not, so having my look come out exactly the way I imagined made it that much sweeter. We kept the swimwear sexy with a middle eastern color palette and styled like European fashion.
