Spring is here, time to update! Every so often I change a few things out in my home to keep things fresh, especially when the weather gets warmer. I like to add some brightness into my bathroom, even if it's just a little hint. Believe me, a little change goes a long way, as long as you play it smart.
Here's some affordable and easy things to do to update your bathroom for the new season

1. REPAINT
The first step to reviving any room is a fresh coat of paint. Whether you're going for a crisp white or a warm color, make sure you have the essential items before you begin painting. Here's a simple checklist:
Nine-Inch Roller (walls)
2.5-Inch Paint Brush (corners & trim)
Painter's Tape & Drop Cloth
Damp Cotton Cloth (clean drips as you go)
Ladder or Stool
Extension Pole (for roller brush)
Roller Grid (distributes paint evenly)
5-Gallon Bucket

2. New Towels
There's nothing safer than crisp, white towels; however, they easily get dingy. I tend to go for a pops of color. I like to color block my towels with my shower/toilet rugs. One pop of color can make the biggest difference.

3. Replace Shower Curtains/Rod
The inner lining should be replaced fairly regularly, but the outside shower curtain isn't thought of as much. You can keep it simple or try for bold, thick stripes, anything that's different from what you already have and gives a new dynamic look to the room. A new rod may be in order, as well. Perhaps try a different shape and add new curtain holders.
4. Upgrade Lighting
New bulbs, New light covers, and if you have a window -- New curtains! This is where you get ready every morning so your lighting should be on its best behavior.

5. Update Vanity
New accessories for the bathroom are actually among one of my favorite things to shop for. The possibilities are endless! Perhaps a new toothbrush holder or soap dispenser is in order, maybe even a new laundry basket.
*For an extra punch, add flowers with color!
